Electrical Project Manager (Commercial)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical construction and engineering projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will coordinate teams, manage budgets and schedules, ensure compliance with safety and electrical codes, and serve as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of electrical construction and engineering projects.

  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, designers, and subcontractors to define project scope and objectives.

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and project timelines, and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Review and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

  • Manage procurement of materials and coordination with suppliers and vendors.

  • Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring work is performed safely and to quality standards.

  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure progress and compliance with codes and standards.

  • Identify and resolve issues and risks that may impact project timelines or quality.

  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including change orders, meeting notes, and progress reports.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.

  • Lead project close-out procedures including final inspections, commissioning, and documentation handover.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of [5+] years of experience in electrical construction or project management.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and construction practices.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, AutoCAD, or similar software).

  • PMP certification is a plus.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.



Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with commercial, industrial, or utility-scale projects.

  • Understanding of renewable energy systems (solar, wind, battery storage) is a plus.

  • OSHA 30 certification or strong knowledge of job site safety protocols.
