Construction Engineer/Construction Services Specialist

A respected engineering consultancy is seeking a full-time Construction Services Specialist / Resident Project Representative (RPR) to join their Toledo team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to provide oversight and support on municipal infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with engineering plans and specifications.

• Observe and review assigned construction projects to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications

• Collect, maintain, and organize construction documentation

• Travel to construction sites for worksite reviews

• Act as the company s representative onsite, maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and subcontractors

• Verify design plan accuracy in the field

• Communicate effectively with contractors and engineers regarding construction practices and project updates

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers on changes due to field developments

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering or an engineering-related field (ABET-accredited program preferred)

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering or a related role

• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction practices, and technical specifications

• Proven ability to communicate technical information effectively in both written and verbal formats

• Ability to analyze and respond to complex issues that arise during construction projects

• Experience as a Resident Project Representative or similar field-based engineering role

• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset

• Familiarity with municipal construction and infrastructure projects
