Project Manager - Utility Infrastructure **PMP Required for role

Work Schedule: Hybrid position with Monday and Friday remote, Tuesday-Thursday in office and/or field locations

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead utility infrastructure upgrade projects from initiation to completion. This role requires a dynamic professional who can effectively manage complex projects while ensuring quality, timeline, and budget objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Planning

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope definition, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate activities to achieve project goals
  • Facilitate project meetings and drive progress through effective stakeholder engagement

Project Execution & Monitoring

  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and address potential issues or risks
  • Manage project budgets and ensure delivery within approved financial parameters
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and are completed on schedule

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders and external partners
  • Manage comprehensive project documentation including plans, schedules, and reports

Process Improvement

  • Support development and implementation of project management best practices and processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function
Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Construction, or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required

Experience

  • Proven experience in utility, infrastructure, or construction project management
  • Electric utility experience strongly preferred (non-IT projects)
  • Demonstrated experience with financial forecasting and budget management
  • Contract management experience required
  • Experience with plan review, project planning, and scheduling

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in project management software and tools
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and similar applications
  • Strong database management and record-keeping capabilities
