PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Dealer Development Manager plays a critical role in driving results, supporting and strengthening relationships with authorized construction equipment dealers across the network. This role is responsible for ensuring that dealers are equipped with the tools, training, product knowledge, and operational support needed to drive sales, improve uptime, and maintain high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of the construction industry, an understanding of equipment distribution, and a passion for dealer success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

More specifically, the person will:
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and its construction equipment dealer network both domestic and internationally.
- Develop, implement, and manage dealer channel strategies to drive sales and superior customer service.
- Partner with dealerships to ensure product knowledge and focus are available by helping recruit, interview and support staffing within dealerships.
- Support dealers in achieving sales targets through onboarding and training for new dealers, covering systems, product lines, warranty procedures, and service expectations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Parts, Service, and Logistics teams to ensure end-to-end dealer support.
- Track dealer performance KPIs including sales volume, service delivery, parts turnover, and customer feedback.
- Help dealers implement sales programs, promotional initiatives, and product launches in their regions.
- Provide ongoing coaching to dealer staff to improve sales performance and customer service.
- Conduct regular dealer visits to evaluate showroom, service department, stock levels and overall representation of the brand.
- Analyze dealer feedback to recommend improvements in internal processes, service delivery, or product development.
- Ensure adherence to dealer agreements and alignment with brand standards.
- Hold quarterly dealer review meetings with CT Salesman and dealer principles
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
- 5+ years of experience in construction equipment sales, dealer support, or account management.
- Knowledge of construction equipment product lines (e.g., concrete mixers, skid steers, loaders, pavers, excavators).
- Experience working with or supporting heavy equipment dealers or rental houses.
- Strong technical understanding of construction machinery and related support systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage dealer relationships tactfully and effectively.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% to visit dealers, attend trade shows, and participate in field training.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
