Field Engineer

Job Description

Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced technology. Provide effective solutions for system issues and deliver turnkey projects for small to mid-level assignments. Ensure proper operation of systems, including controls, sensors, and software, while loading software and configuring trends, alarms, and reports. Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and communicate project status and details effectively. Offer site-specific training to owners and operators on the complete system.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and install systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize customer systems to resolve issues.
  • Deliver turnkey projects for small to mid-level assignments.
  • Ensure systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.
  • Load software and configure trends, alarms, and reports.
  • Implement time management strategies for customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and document project status and details for the customer.
  • Provide site-specific training to owners and operators on the complete system.
Essential Skills
  • Must have experience with HVAC, controls systems, and automation.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience in commercial buildings.
  • Proficiency in computer knowledge, including Word and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) is nice to have.
  • Understanding of how HVAC systems sync with control systems for buildings.
  • Automation engineering experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens control.
  • Knowledge of automation software and WebCTRL.
Work Environment

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. The role involves frequent local travel to customer sites, which may require driving a vehicle or pairing with fellow engineers. A company truck is provided upon permanent employment, and mileage expenses are covered during the contract period.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
