Project Manager
Job Description

The primary objective of this position is to manage project scheduling, project buyout, estimating, document control, and management of self-perform teams and subcontractors in the Industrial and Heavy Commercial Markets. This role may involve managing one large project or several small to medium-sized projects simultaneously. Project delivery methods may include Self-Perform, General Contracting, or Construction Management, with project sizes ranging from $1,000,000 to $100,000,000 USD. Some travel may be required. The Project Manager will work within the Interiors Department, which boasts an exceptionally skilled interior trades group specializing in general carpentry and interior finishes. Self-performing a wide variety of carpentry and interiors work allows us to control quality, schedule, and safety on every job, offering significant cost and time savings to our customers. The location may vary from office to part-time office/job site to full-time job site.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project scheduling and project buyout.
  • Handle estimating, document control, and management of self-perform teams and subcontractors.
  • Oversee projects in the Industrial and Heavy Commercial Markets.
  • Ensure quality, schedule, and safety on every job.
  • Collaborate with the Interiors Department to deliver exceptional carpentry and interior finishes.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of related experience with a General Contracting/Construction Management organization.
  • Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, and purchasing.
  • Proficiency in technology, equipment, methods, accounting principles, and engineering principles/techniques.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • Experience with Design/Build, General Contractor, and Construction Management project delivery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Automotive project experience is preferred.
  • Maintenance contract experience is preferred.
  • Ability to estimate and schedule is preferred.
  • Experience with self-performing general contractor is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Sage 300, ProCore, Prolog, and/or Contract Manager is preferred.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, busy, and occasionally noisy, involving managing multiple projects simultaneously. It may require outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions and occasional work in high or precarious places, near fumes or airborne particles, or handling toxic chemicals. There is a risk of electrical shock and vibration in certain situations, along with frequent interruptions to address team members needs and vendor requests. Frequent travel by motor vehicle may be required, and extended hours on construction sites may necessitate physical stamina for navigating the premises. Effective and professional communication with supervisors, employees, and others, both individually and in a team setting, is essential. Strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment guidelines, and company policies, is required to perform work safely.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
