A wooden kitchen utensil manufacturer in Red Lodge is looking for woodworkers. Earlywood makes wooden spoons, spatulas, rolling pins, etc.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable woodworker to add to our team. You must be able to work by yourself, with other employees, or with the owner of the company in a fully operational woodworking shop. Run all standard fine woodworking tools including jointer, planer, table saw, bandsaw, chop saw, drum sanders, disc sanders, dust collectors, wide belt sanders and flap sanders. This position is physically demanding and requires: significant standing and walking, frequent lifting, repetitive movements, and the ability to lift and move heavy items.
Experience requirements: Must have some experience working with wood in some capacity and be familiar with most of the tools listed above.
Strength requirements: You will need to carry, flip, cut, and move pieces of wood as heavy as 60 lbs. on a regular basis.
Traits: Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, be able to self motivate and be productive when working alone.
Hours: Looking for someone 40 hours per week (may be a bit less to start when in training mode). Flexible schedule can be discussed after training period.
After probationary period: paid holidays and benefits available.
Starting Pay: $18/hour
