OES General Contracting Inc. has built an excellent reputation for outstanding quality and service in the Metro Vancouver area. The company is located at 264-5148 Ladner Trunk Rd.in Delta, BC, and the workplace depends on the construction site in the Lower Mainland. We are currently looking for one electrician who will be responsible for maintenance and installation, operation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. The position is available to start as soon as possible. It is a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent position for a mature individual with trade-related education and an electrical background. However, given the demographics of the Lower Mainland, the ability to communicate in a second language will be an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
Install and repair electrical circuits.
Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduits using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, removing and replacing faulty components.
Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.

Requirements:
Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an electrician is required.
Credentials: High school completion
Electrician Trade Certification or equivalent accepted by the employer.

Language: English

Essential Skills:
Proficient in the use of hand and mechanical tools.
Ability to handle general duties around the premises, including handling heavy loads.
Ability to perform regular maintenance as per the plan.
Strong problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate should be punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
Strong commitment to work.
Ability to work well with others as well as independently.

Additional Requirements:
Own tools/equipment required.
Own transportation and valid driver's license required.
Additional Skills:
Ability to work at heights, in confined, dusty spaces, and outdoors.
Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.

Compensation:
Salary: $35 per hour, paid biweekly.
Vacation: 2 weeks per year.
