We are seeking for an Engineering Technician with the following qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on diagnosing, repairing and building of test and manufacturing equipment. Including Temperature Chambers and Temperature Controllers.
  • Operate and repair of vibration and shock systems, electrical testers, laser welders, and other specialized automatic equipment.
  • Assist production in the testing of coaxial switches and other RF devices and compiling test reports when needed.
  • Works on assignments that are not routine in nature with ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice.
  • Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills and share expertise with group while following Company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Participates in failure analysis. Exhibit sound judgment and communicate clearly to Supervisor and co-workers when identifying/resolving problems, developing alternate solutions, asking questions for clarification/providing feedback.
  • Be able to prioritize/plan work demonstrating time efficiency, accuracy, and thoroughness to ensure quality products and processes.
  • Recommends changes in test methods/assembly process or equipment to Engineering.
  • Conducts operator training on the proper use of equipment and performs periodic maintenance.
  • Experience programming with LabView, python, or similar test and automation software is a plus.

Requirements:

  • A.A. or B.S. degree in engineering (Electronic preferred) or equivalent technician experience such as with the Military or Technical School.
  • Must have knowledge of electronic circuit analysis and repair - have prior experience using a spectrum analyzer to test RF devices.
  • Must have good hand eye coordination, good manual dexterity.
  • Must have knowledge/experience with a multimeter, power supply, electronic test software/equipment.
  • Must have basic computer experience, and knowledge of MSWord and MS Excel.
  • Must be able to use schematics and blueprints to assemble test systems.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out written/oral/diagram form instructions and be able to deal with problems with concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Will occasionally be in contact with moving mechanical equipment and will continuously be working near moving mechanical parts.

Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).

Salary Range:

$43,900.00-$58,500.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
