A leading biotechnology company is seeking a CAD Technician - Engineering Document Control. The successful candidate will create and edit 2D/3D drawings using the latest release of AutoCAD.

CAD Technician - Engineering Document Control Responsibilities:

  • Create and edit 2D/3D drawings using the latest release of AutoCAD.
  • Support drafting work involving architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process drawings.
  • Proactively interact with CAD and Document Control staff, clients, and contractors relating to drafting orders assigned to them.
  • Perform CAD standards conformance checks for project drawing transmittals and interact with AE vendors to resolve file issues.
  • Perform field verification of floor plans and furniture plans.

CAD Technician - Engineering Document Control Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in engineering drafting or design.
  • 3-5 years of architectural and mechanical drafting experience is preferred.
  • Computer Aided Design Drafting Certificate, Engineering Drafting Degree, and/or Bachelor's degree in a related field (Mechanical, Architectural, or Electrical Engineering) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP documentation principles and change control procedures is preferred.
  • Highly proficient in the use of the latest AutoCAD software and working knowledge of Revit software.
  • Perform field verification of floor plans and furniture plans. Ability to operate large-scale plotters and copiers for drawings.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of CAD systems and Engineering document control proceedings.
  • Ability to work well with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Able to manage difficult customers, tight timelines, and stressful work environments with positive outcomes.
  • Ability to deal with rapidly changing organizational issues and anticipate customer demand.
