As a Systems Installation Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in organizing and overseeing multidisciplinary teams for the installation and commissioning of cutting-edge industrial finishing and dispensing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination and Supervision: Lead and oversee the installation and commissioning of industrial finishing and dispensing systems, ensuring alignment with schedules and project specifications.
  • Installation Management: Direct all electrical and mechanical installation aspects, ensuring compliance with NEC, CSA, NFPA, and other industrial codes. Perform robotic installations and integrate systems such as Fanuc, ABB, and Motoman robots.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure project success. Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Execution: Interpret specifications, apply markups for field modifications, and ensure proper system startup. Handle complex installations, including control panels, fluid lines, hazardous circuits, and robotic/PLC interlocks.
  • Travel: Travel domestically (60%), primarily in the Midwest and occasionally across other U.S. states.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; MBA or Master's preferred.

  • Experience: 10+ years in engineering roles, with 5+ years in leadership, ideally in automation or finishing systems.

  • Project and Financial Management: Proven success in managing complex projects, P&L responsibilities, financial models, pricing strategies, and ROI analysis.

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in drafting, electrical schematics, system design, and industry standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA70). Understanding specifications and their utilization within the finishing industry is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience in automation systems, including installation, commissioning, and control integration.

  • Knowledge of control platforms (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens) including, but not limited to: Studio 5000, Factory Talk View ME/SE, Fanuc Paint Pro

  • Experience with industrial safety applications, practices, and JSAs.

  • Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); ability to understand written and oral English and be proficient with computer, email, spreadsheets and look up documents online

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, and system layouts.

  • Networking concepts and control strategies.
