Essential job functions

Core Technical Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive electrical systems in compliance with NEC and safety regulations
• Design and select power system equipment and components
• Create and manage 3D models of components, equipment and assemblies
• Generate detailed design documentation including:
• Power schematics (single and three line)
• Power calculations
• Floor plans and layouts
• Lighting and power distribution plans
• Grounding and bonding systems
• Cable management systems
• Fire safety and suppression systems
• Monitoring and control systems
• Testing procedures (FAT/SAT)
• Installation and maintenance documentation
• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Prepare technical presentations and solution proposals

Project Management & Collaboration:

• Lead and participate in engineering team discussions
• Manage multiple concurrent projects independently
• Mentor and oversee design work of other team members
• Partner with cross-functional teams for optimal solutions
• Coordinate with Procurement and vendors for component sourcing
• Support Pre-Sales and Sales teams with technical expertise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or a related field; Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical design
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements, including ability to navigate the current National Electrical Code
• Proficient modeling skills required, preferred in Revit and Autocad
• Ability to read, interpret and produce electrical construction drawings and equipment specifications
• Interpreting customer specification requirements
• Ability to research new designs, technologies and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities
• Demonstrates excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Works independently and is highly motivated to initiate and accept new challenges.
• Proven project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while responding appropriately within the fast-moving business environment.
