Summary:As a Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead the design, analysis, and testing of precision optical assemblies used in cutting-edge AR devices. This hands-on role involves developing custom tools and fixtures, producing compliant technical drawings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring complex opto-mechanical concepts to life. You'll work onsite in Boulder to support prototype development and early-stage product testing in a dynamic R&D environment.* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of experience in opto-mechanical system design
- Strong hands-on experience with precision mechatronics, GD&T, and tolerance stack analysis
- Experience in optical alignment principles, kinematic constraint, and thermal management in device design
- Familiarity with metrology tools like CMMs, OCMMs, or surface measurement instruments
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (CREO) and design documentation standards (ASME Y14.5/ISO GPS)
- Comfortable working with statistical tools (e.g., JMP) and collaboration platforms (Jira, Confluence)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering disciplines
