We are seeking a Staff Office Surveyor to join our team.
This position is responsible for performing all land surveying-related computations and calculations. It will also support the technical work of other surveyors, CAD technicians, engineers, subcontractors, and agencies for final drawings, submittals, and specifications for approval.
Responsibilities: Process raw field data
Prepare topographic drawings and as-builts
Deed, plat, and record research
Compute property, right-of-way, and easement lines
Prepare metes and bounds descriptions
Develop base mapping files, plats, and as-builts
Interpret, check, and reduce field notes
Maintain current knowledge of surveying methods and procedures
When necessary, can provide services as a Party Chief in the field
Plan and evaluate proposed field survey projects
Organize, manage, and execute the QA/QC plan and coordination for a project
Prepare CAD application maps using survey and legal descriptions
Engage with clients to schedule and coordinate survey crews
Review and research title reports and utilities
Qualifications: Must-Haves:
1.Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major in Engineering or Land Surveying and possession of an Engineering-in-Training (EIT) or Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) certificate, working towards obtaining a professional License
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in land surveying capacity
3.Familiarity with survey instruments (Total Station, Data Collector, and GPS)
4.Prior experience in land surveying principles and practices and a working knowledge of the Subdivision Map Act and other federal and state laws and standards
Should-Haves:
1.Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
2.Ability to read and interpret record maps and engineered plans
3.Manage the financial progress of each survey project
