Job Title: Technician
Job Description
The technician will support product testing for heavy-duty trucks, buses, military, and specialty vehicles. This role involves setting up and executing tests per defined specifications, performing assembly and disassembly tasks, troubleshooting and repairing test setups, building and maintaining test equipment, and interpreting test data to write professional reports.
Responsibilities
- Set up and execute tests according to defined specifications and procedures.
- Assemble and disassemble test samples, performing failure analysis.
- Troubleshoot and repair test setups using schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
- Build and maintain test stands and equipment.
- Interpret test data and write professional reports.
- Read and apply customer/internal test specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S and safety protocols.
Essential Skills
- Experience in test engineering and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work with test equipment and perform product testing.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Experience with rotating equipment.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to perform failure analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's degree in electrical/mechanical or test engineering or equivalent experience.
- Two years of test engineering or technician experience desired.
- Experience in rotating electrics design is desired.
- Familiarity with test and measurement equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex assemblies and setups.
- Proficient use of hand tools, wiring, and assembly techniques.
Work Environment
The work environment involves 100% working in engineering test labs, where technicians will utilize various technologies and equipment within a structured and safety-conscious setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
