2nd Shift Roll Form Operator

JOB REQUIREMENTS: General Responsibilities Set up and operate machine toform longitudinal bends, rolls, beads, or embossed design onto sheetmetal strips by action of two or more roller dies to fabricate itemssuch as molding, trim, weather-strip, and structural shapes specified bywork order or diagram. To perform this job successfully, an individualmust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The dutieslisted below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilitiesrequired to perform in this position. Functional Duties Analyze workorders and read blueprints to determine information such as sizematerial to be used, type of operations, and sequence of operationsrequired, as needed. Must report accurate quantities, material used, andtime in MD Link. Bolt specified roller dies and drive rolls ontospindles. Position spindles to align male and female roller dies andadjust rolls to thickness of metal. Set side guides. Turns knobs to setfootage meter and control which stops machine or activates automaticshear when specified length of strips have been run. Lift coils of metalonto feed rack and thread end into feel roll. Direct flow of coolantonto rolls or fill oil cups. Start machine, observe operation and verifydimensions of finished products. Butt weld ends of coil together to formcontinuous feed. Turn knobs or install gears to adjust speed of machine.Verify coolant levels in machine and oil and grease moving parts asspecified. Receive coil and perform quality checks. \*\*\*\*\* OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities Ability to read andinterpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions and procedure manuals. Ability to carry out instructionsfurnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to apply, calculatefigures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area,circumference and volume. This position requires employees to becertified forklift operators. The company will conduct forklift trainingand certification.
