Responsible for welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum with responsibilities including welding for mechanical strength, critical safety, load requirements and appearance. They will work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols. o Fabricates and assembles components to close tolerances and specifications. o Deburring and cleanup of weldments, corrects errors and asses own work to ensure quality before part leaves. o Produces consistent quality MIG welds on components to close tolerances and specifications. o Studies blueprints to determine project task sequence and requirements to fabricate assembles and sub-assemblies. o Uses auxiliary equipment and tools (drill press, drills, taps, reams, hand grinder, bandsaw, etc.) safely and effectively. o Stress release parts.
