Maintenance Mechanic

This is a fabulous opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking technician to apply his or her skills in our production facility located in Northeast Philadelphia.In this role, the successful candidate will dismantle defective industrial food production equipment and install new or repaired parts in accordance with factory and industry standards. They will work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Our company offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including **laundered uniforms.******MAINTENANCE MECHANIC******Responsibilities:**- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.- Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery and equipment.- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, breakers, switches, receptacles, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.- Repair and maintain physical structure of equipment.- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.- Preventative maintenance on equipment. Minimum Requirements **Physical Requirements:**- Capability to stand in one place for 30% of the shift (8+ hours per day)- Capability to walk throughout department for 70% of the shift (8+ hours per day)- Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms- Requires the ability to lift overhead using both arms- Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without reasonable assistance.- Must be able to frequently push, pull, kneel, bend and reach.- Military experience welcomedPhila BST
