JOB REQUIREMENTS: WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking aElectrician 6 Maintenance & Construction or higher in our Green Bay,Wisconsin location. Work Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm - Monday - Friday Pay &Benefits: Starting pay is \$35.22 and offers regular increases per thebargaining agreement. Benefits Include: Medical/Dental/Vision Plan 401KPlan Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Job Summary Assist in ensuring safe andefficient substation and transmission (S&T) electrical operations byperforming maintenance and construction of substation equipment andtransmission lines, installing and maintaining control devices,organizing work assignments, and completing necessary documents. JobResponsibilities Assist in performing electrical maintenance andconstruction of substation equipment and transmission lines: operatehigh voltage switching equipment perform simple hot stick work performrubber protective goods application work on energized conductors above600 volts work in energized contact areas under observation ofelectrician class 1 or higher observe and follow work procedures andsafety practices perform work according to construction standards andprocedures Assist in ensuring efficient organization of workassignments: obtain required tools, materials, and prints contactappropriate people to carry out assignments Maintain necessary documentsand complete paperwork: prepare reports following accounting procedurescomplete field revisions on drawings and records Provide relief forother positions as required, and work without assistance in job areaswhere sufficient knowledge and training are present MinimumQualifications High School Diploma or GED/HSED and one of the following:Associates Degree in an Electrical field or equivalent ObtainedJourneyman status in an Electrical, Instrument or I&E trade EquivalentArmed Forces training Valid drivers license Must have a CommercialDrivers License (CDL) or be able to obtain one within 6 months TestingRequirements Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) - Other level:Comprehension of pictured mechanical principles such as gears, levers,pulley systems, water flow, etc.; arithmetic skills in calculatingdistances shown in prints and drawings; and the ability to read andunderstand written material.
