The Opportunity:Tetra Tech is adding a Civil Engineer, PE to work in our East Lansing, MI office. Discover your full potential - join us to advance your career while leaving a lasting legacy.Your Role:Perform conceptual and detailed design and hydraulic calculations and analysesPrepare detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documentsEnsure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projectsPerform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommending and documenting design modifications, and coordinating with the design teamReview submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings and respond to requests for additional informationProvide onsite resident engineer responsibilities during the construction of projects to ensure contract design and specifications are being followedQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental engineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) License required, or ability to obtain within one year5 years of experience in planning and designing water/wastewater treatment, distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilitiesValid Driver's License with an acceptable driving recordProficiency in Microsoft Office software, to include Excel, word processing, and scheduling programs, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Revit.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsThis position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or moreLife at Tetra Tech:The perks of working at Tetra Tech include:Comprehensive and market-competitive benefits.Merit-based financial rewards.Flexibility and company-wide commitment to work/life balance.Collaborative team atmosphere that values the contributions of all employees.Learning and development opportunities for ongoing professional growth.About Tetra Tech:Tetra Tech is the leader in water, environment, and sustainable infrastructure, providing high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide.
