Position Summary
The Appliance Technician reports to the Assistant Facilities Engineer. Their duties include but are not limited to, the following: Installation, maintenance, and repair of all types of appliances, e.g. ranges, refrigerators, walk-in coolers, dishwashing machines, meat slicers, refrigerators, washing machines, coffee urns, ranges, dryers, air conditioners, compressors, vacuum cleaners, small floor machines, both domestic and commercial, etc.

Principal Accountabilities
* Installation, maintenance, and repair of all types of appliances, e.g. ranges, refrigerators, walk-in coolers, dishwashing machines, meat slicers, refrigerators, washing machines, coffee urns, ranges, dryers, air conditioners, compressors, vacuum cleaners, small floor machines, both domestic and commercial, etc.
* Provide backup as required for H.V.A.C. equipment such as refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, cold storage, air handling, and pneumatic systems, electrical and pneumatic control systems, pumps, fans, hot water heaters, condensers, chillers, and other auxiliary equipment and/or components.

Qualifications 1. Position requires a minimum of one-year successful experience in the maintenance of commercial appliances; 2 or more years experience preferred. 2. Requires a basic knowledge of electricity and its functions and the ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, specification sheets, schematics, etc. 3. Requires demonstrated knowledge in all phases of air conditioning and refrigeration, control systems, heating systems, gauges etc. 4. Must have HVAC R license or in process of obtaining license.
