Electrical Engineer

### **Position Summary:**The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and support of electrical systems and components used in industrial electric motors. This role works closely with mechanical engineers, production teams, and customers to ensure product performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in electromagnetic theory, motor design principles, and electrical testing within a manufacturing environment.------------------------------------------------------------------------### **Key Responsibilities:**- Design and specify electrical characteristics of motors including winding configurations, insulation systems, and voltage/frequency ratings.- Perform electrical calculations related to torque, efficiency, thermal rise, and load requirements.- Support motor testing for performance validation, insulation resistance, surge, and hi-pot testing.- Create and maintain technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, test plans, and reports.- Investigate product issues in the field and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development, continuous improvement, and custom motor solutions.- Ensure compliance with industry and customer standards (e.g., NEMA, UL, IEEE).- Participate in the engineering change process and help maintain accurate electrical specifications and BOMs.------------------------------------------------------------------------### **Qualifications:**- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.- 3+ years of experience in electrical design, motor development, or product testing.- Familiarity with AC and DC motor theory, magnetic circuit design, and control principles.- Experience with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, dynamometers).- Working knowledge of electrical safety standards and quality systems.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electrical documentation tools.***EOE, Including Disability/Vet***
