Production Welder

Welder Job Description As a Welder, you will utilize MIG welding techniques to assemble trailer components. This role requires proficiency in processes such as gas metal arc, plasma arc, and shielded metal arc welding. You will be responsible for operating welding gear safely, examining workpieces for defects and quality, and using tools like measuring tapes and combination squares for accurate assembly. Responsibilities Use MIG welding technique to weld trailer components including gas metal arc, plasma arc, and shielded metal arc processes. Safely operate welding gear and equipment. Examine workpieces for defects and quality; notify supervisor of any concerns and perform necessary repairs. Use measuring tapes, combination squares, and levels to layout, position, align, and secure parts before assembly. Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating or distortion of materials. Sign off on completed work orders and ensure work quality. Maintain, organize, and clean workstation and equipment. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding and related techniques. Experience with hand tools and manufacturing equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience in fabrication and fitting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with TIG welding and flux core. Knowledge of grinding and blueprint reading. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes. Ability to perform manual labor and lifting. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MARYVILLE, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
