TIG Welder Job Description Join a leading company specializing in the custom fabrication and finishing of sheet metal products. We are seeking a skilled TIG welder to work on a diverse range of products including electronic equipment, automotive parts, medical equipment, and military components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for TIG welding and fabrication of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, with a strong proficiency in blueprint reading and the potential to lead others. Responsibilities Perform TIG welds and fabrication on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials. Read and interpret blueprints accurately for product specifications. Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality fabrication standards are met. Maintain organized and efficient work processes within the shop. Assist and lead other team members when necessary. Essential Skills 5 years of experience in TIG welding, particularly on stainless steel. Proficiency in blueprint reading. Work Environment You will work in a smaller shop located in Sterling Heights. The environment is organized, with decent lighting. The shop is equipped with six machines and a dedicated tool room. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
