Service Plumber Job Description As a Service Plumber, you will play a crucial role in installing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and related equipment, including water heaters, dishwashers, and garbage disposals. You will diagnose and repair plumbing leaks, clogs, and other issues, ensuring the functionality and reliability of plumbing systems. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting blueprints and schematics to plan and execute plumbing installations and renovations. Utilizing a variety of tools and equipment, you will adhere to safety regulations and communicate effectively with clients. Responsibilities Install plumbing fixtures, pipes, and related equipment such as water heaters and dishwashers. Diagnose and repair plumbing leaks, clogs, and other issues, including cleaning drains and unclogging pipes. Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure proper function and prevent future issues. Identify and resolve problems in plumbing systems, diagnosing malfunctions and implementing necessary repairs. Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and execute plumbing installations and renovations. Utilize tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, soldering torches, and sewer augers. Adhere to safety regulations and procedures when working with plumbing systems and materials. Communicate effectively with clients, explaining issues, providing pricing, and scheduling information. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job. Order and maintain necessary supplies and materials for plumbing jobs. Essential Skills Experience in construction, both commercial and residential. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and plumbing schematics. Strong skills in plumbing, PVC, piping systems, and mechanical installations. Expertise in soldering and using soldering tools. Ability to use hand tools effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with cast iron piping systems. Ability to perform installations in commercial and residential settings. Why Work Here?
