Our client, a well-established engineering firm, is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in a Consulting Engineering or Design/Build environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge building environmental systems alongside a team of experienced engineers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a strong technical background and a passion for designing innovative solutions. This role is on-site at the Sacramento office and will require regional, same-day travel to job sites throughout Northern California.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from design to construction.
Design heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing systems for building projects.
Ensure compliance with California Building Codes and industry best practices.
Perform building energy modeling and work with BMS controls.
Provide construction support, including site visits and design modifications as needed.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a consulting or design/build environment.
Expertise in HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, and construction support.
Proficiency in MEP design, Revit, and AutoCAD.
Experience with building energy modeling and BMS controls.
Strong knowledge of California Building Codes.
PE certification
Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
