Summary: Enhance the preliminary mechanical system design received from estimating into sheet metal LOD detailed construction drawings that complies with the contract documents, selected equipment, and approved submittals which can be constructed on time and within budget.
Essential Functions including the following, but not limited to the below.
Lead by Example:
• Review equipment submittal information as necessary when modeling/layout various pieces of equipment within the building
• Complete coordination within budgeted hours and within the schedule of the project
• Goal of improving the fittings VS Straights ductwork that we estimated.
• Update cost tracking sheet bi-weekly and shop schedule weekly
• QA/QC peer review on drawing before they are used for installation. Review SM drawings, submittals, specification, and contract drawings
• Mandatory job site visits
Build Lifelong Partnerships:
• Communicate status / issues regularly to Internal and External Customers
• Review and support outsourcing company that assist in Cinfab coordination.
Act with Integrity:
• Produce Installation Drawings with appropriate detail to facilitate construction.
• Identify conflicts and/or missing information in contract documents. Generate / track RFl's as appropriate.
• Create Coordination Drawings which result in a clash free design based on Cinfab's sheet metal LOD details
• Quality assurance of coordination drawings (this is based off the coordination department standards)
Challenge the Ordinary:
• Optimize Design / Layout to improve system performance and minimize installation costs
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of sheet metal shop or field
• Highly proficient mathematical ability to include: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, algebra, and geometry
• Able to read and use various measuring devices
• Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, etc.
• Prior knowledge of or ability to learn the Shop Fabrication software - "Autodesk Fabrication MEP"
• Must have the ability to read, interpret, follow and create drawings for the fabrication and assembly of HVAC sheet metal ductwork products
• Able to communicate effectively with employees and other members of supervision as to work in progress, work completed, and/or work to be performed in the future.
• It is critical that this person have the ability to remain calm under pressure. This person MUST successfully manage multiple competing demands every day.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
• Traditional office setting. Will sit for long periods of time to perform essentials of work assigned. Will walk and move throughout the work area as needed. This employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Noise level within accepted standards. Requires the ability to see including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
