Position Overview

International is hiring a Facilities Painter in San Antonio!

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Facilities Painter that is skilled in the use of paint spray guns and a variety of application techniques tailored to different materials and surfaces and demonstrates a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and a team-oriented attitude aligned with Internationals Core Values.

This is a 2nd shift role and the hours are 2pm to 12:30 AM and the hourly rate is $21/hr

Responsibilities
  • Perform Power-Wash and other pre-painting activities on exterior and interior surfaces in preparation for painting
  • Responsible for the application and upkeep of industrial coatings throughout the facility including floor striping
  • Apply paint utilizing both manual and spray application equipment
  • Perform paint application at heights on lifts or ladders
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures/rules
  • Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat Procedures including the storage and handling of materials
  • Responsible for reporting any malfunctions of equipment by following the proper escalation process
  • Determine type of paint and other supplies including the application process
  • Estimate time required to complete projects
  • Maintain all equipment in proper working order
  • Operate mobile equipment including forklifts and scissor lifts
  • Minor drywall and building repairs
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends and non-production days as required to support projects and maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.   • Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per shift):
    • Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl
    • Climb using both legs and arms
    • Head/neck movement
    • Reach outward or above the shoulder
    • Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles
    • Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds
    • Repetitive use of hands and fingers
    • Use of vibrating tools
    • Depth perception required
    • Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color
    • Ability to work at heights
    • Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces
    • May be required to wear a respirator and must complywith OSHA requirements for performing the job including 29 CFR section 1910.134 which requires a respirator fit test, the satisfactory completion of a questionnaire and, if necessary, respiratory medical evaluation in connection with the use of a respirator
Desired Skills
  • 2+ years of professional painting experience
  • Prior experience operating paint spray gun
  • Demonstrated knowledge in various paint application techniques and the selection of appropriate paint types for diverse materials and surfaces
