The Division of Public Works is seeking a licensed plumber for a permanent full-time position on the Facilities Services team at the State of Idaho Chinden Campus. The ideal candidate will have experience performing the duties listed below in a commercial building environment. This position is building maintenance oriented and involves lifting and carrying items, bending, and climbing ladders. The incumbent may work in all weather conditions.

Example of Duties:
Plumbing
+ Performs maintenance and repairs to domestic water lines, fire lines, chilled water hydronic lines and hot water hydronic lines as well as waste and vent drain lines
+ Repairs and replacement of faucets, hose bibs, toilets, unions, valves, Victaulics, mixing valves and flush valves for urinals and toilets.
+ Repair leaks and keep lines free from clogs in plumbing systems
+ Performs preventive maintenance and inspections of roof drains, gas and electric hot water heaters, garbage disposals, circulation pumps, and commercial kitchen facilities Installation and repair of drinking fountains
+ Basic skills in estimating time, materials, and costs of plumbing jobs
+ Maintains shop area and trains others in plumbing techniques, tools and equipment
+ Be able to use thread cutting machinery, pro-press equipment and soldering when needed.
+ Works with contractors to reviews new and retro-fit plumbing project designs and specifications for various plumbing projects throughout the campus
+ Schedules and monitors work of service contractors to ensure compliance to specifications and when necessary pulls permits and complies with plumbing code as well as integrating with existing and older plumbing systems
+ When necessary, is aware of process and procedures for proper winterization of various plumbing systems, irrigation
