Job Description:
The Installation Manager is a hands-on leader and coach, responsible for managing the installation team — including project managers, installation technicians, and carpenters — while also directly overseeing project management tasks and vendor relationships.
You’ll coordinate the full lifecycle of new GBGS location deployments: from reviewing layouts and securing materials, to leading on-site installations and ensuring a flawless handoff to operations. This role balances leadership, project ownership, and cross-functional teamwork, all in service of delivering world-class interactive game show experiences across the country.
Pay & Benefits:
Starting Pay: $65,000-$85,000 (Plus Bonus)

Hours & Schedule:
Location: HQ - Smyrna, TN (non-remote)
Work Hours:
In-office: 40-45 hours per week.
Travel: 70+ hours/week during active installations (includes weekends with compensatory rest days)
Frequent travel (local and out-of-state) required; expenses covered by the company
Job Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
Manage and lead the installation team: project managers, install technicians, and carpenters
Provide coaching, development, and performance feedback
Allocate team resources across active and upcoming projects
Foster a positive, solution-focused team culture aligned with GBGS values
Project Management
Own the timeline, budget, and deliverables for assigned installations
Coordinate internal teams (technical, scenic, carpentry) and cross-functional partners (design, operations, production)
Track site progress, resolve issues, and report status to leadership
Field & Process Oversight
Travel to sites for walkthroughs, layout adjustments, and progress assessments
Lead on-site logistics, equipment delivery, and installation schedules
Conduct punch list reviews and ensure readiness for operations handoff
Gather and share on-the-ground insights to improve production and R&D processes
Vendor & Contractor Management

Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, mall operators, signage vendors, and architects
Negotiate scopes, schedules, and deliverables when external vendors are engaged
Oversee vendor work to ensure alignment with GBGS brand standards and quality expectations
Qualifications:
Experience in construction, facilities coordination, or themed entertainment installations
Strong project management skills and experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
Bonus: Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, or other drafting tools
Bonus: Experience with low-voltage wiring or AV systems
