Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled structural engineer to manage projects from inception to completion. This role involves project setup, calculations, coordination with internal teams and external clients, ensuring all calculations and drawings are code compliant. The ideal candidate will design commercial buildings using AutoCAD and Revit, develop design loads, complete structural analysis, and provide comprehensive calculation packages for review and stamping. Effective communication of schedules, questions, and issues with clients is essential, alongside conducting site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from start to finish, including setup, calculations, and coordination.
  • Design commercial buildings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Develop design loads and complete structural analysis.
  • Provide complete calculation packages for review and stamping.
  • Communicate schedules, questions, and issues with clients.
  • Conduct site visits.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Mathcad.
  • Knowledge structural engineering, design, and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with RISA 3D or similar software.
  • 3+ years of experience in structural design of commercial buildings.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards obtaining it.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and remotely up to 3 days after the training period.
  • Opportunity for career advancement to a team leader within 4-5 years for entry-level candidates, or a few months with prior experience.
  • Company-sponsored certifications and continuing education credits.
  • Participation in committees such as codes and building materials.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
