Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to perform independent planning and design tasks, review the work of others, prepare construction documents, and successfully deliver projects to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience with technically complex projects and possess knowledge of codes and standards applicable to the design of projects. This role involves maintaining collaborative inter-departmental and cross-functional working relationships with project team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial QA/QC review of project submissions.
  • Assist upper management in the development of schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates.
  • Work closely with project teams to effectively describe and deliver the scope of work.
  • Promote, utilize, and support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors and omissions.
  • Perform and check design calculations, technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 10 years of Civil Engineering experience in Land Development.
  • Experience in Commercial or Residential projects.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Ideally, 60% of past projects should be in the commercial space (apartments, storage facilities, schools, etc.).
Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday in person at the office, with Fridays being remote. Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, STD, LTD, HSA, and FSA benefits starting the first of the month following the date of hire. Eligibility for the 401K starts after 30 days of employment, with a company match of 50% up to 6% of your salary. Employees accrue PTO on a monthly basis, with up to 120 hours carried over to the following calendar year. The company observes nine paid holidays each year, with alternative holidays arranged based on religious observations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
