Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Oxford, MS

Job Description

Our client is seeking a project engineer for their geotechnical engineering department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in Geotechnical Investigations and Phase I Environmental Assessments involving residential and commercial sites, institutional and education sites, roadways and bridges, and higher learning projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence research for upcoming projects.
  • Prepare engineering reports for geotechnical and environmental studies.
  • Generate location plans, undercut plans, and segmental retaining wall plans.
  • Perform engineering calculations for bearing capacity, slope stability, pile capacity, and retaining wall designs.
  • Review submittals for active construction projects.
Essential Skills
  • Geotechnical analysis
  • Geological Engineering
  • 3+ years of site design consulting experience
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable violation history

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
