We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation. This role is critical in helping the company make informed bidding and budgeting decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Quantify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and present cost summaries, budgets, and bid proposals.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure estimates align with project goals.
  • Monitor project costs and assist in change order pricing and cost tracking.
  • Maintain historical cost data and update unit pricing databases.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a construction estimator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience estimating
  • Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Knowledge of local labor and material costs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $62.50/hr.
