Job Summary
The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager functions as a key driver of global learning execution and impact. This role manages the full lifecycle of global learning programs-design, delivery, implementation, and continuous improvement-to strengthen organizational health, increase manager effectiveness, enhance engagement and retention, and accelerate overall performance. In particular, this role draws from expertise in Human Resources, instructional design, facilitation, and program management to design and enhance core learning initiatives aligned with strategic priorities. This position is a member of the People & Culture (P&C) and L&D teams, reports to the Director, Learning & Development, and collaborates closely across all P&C functions.
This position is located in Portland, OR, and necessitates a regular presence at our global headquarters (three days per week).
Essential Functions
Instructional Design and Development
Owns the end-to-end design and development of learning experiences aligned to business priorities and strategic goals, in partnership with the L&D leader.
Collaborates with P&C Business Partners and other members of the P&C team, the Global Learning Council, and executive leadership to align learning initiatives with strategic goals.
Conducts needs analysis, consults with subject matter experts, and leverages data to inform decisions.
Designs and develops engaging, interactive learning experiences (ranging from instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training to micro-learning and eLearning development) using multimedia and instructional design tools.
Learning Delivery
Facilitates instructor-led sessions for global audiences using adult learning principles and engagement strategies.
Differentiates instruction and adjusts approaches based on learner feedback and group dynamics to maximize impact and promote continuous improvement.
Serves as a learning ambassador and role model for excellence and continuous learning, demonstrating leadership and influence at all levels of the organization.
Global Program Management and Cross-Functional Enablement
Leads the planning and execution of global learning programs and initiatives, overseeing timelines, logistics, communications, and cross-regional coordination.
Acts as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure consistent, high-impact learner
Builds strong relationships across employee and leadership levels to drive program adoption.
Leads the Learning Ambassador Board, fostering a community of practice to support peer-to-peer learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources, organizational development, or related field required
- Certification - CPTD and/or Master Trainer certification, preferred
- Five (5) years of professional experience focused on learning & development, organizational effectiveness, talent development, performance management/improvement, and/or change management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to lead learning initiatives from concept to implementation, including cross-functional coordination.
- Expertise in change management and organizational development, with a track record of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to synthesize input and drive strategic alignment.
- Proficient in curriculum development and ongoing program
- Demonstrated expertise in interactive learning methods, facilitation (in-person and virtual), and classroom management of adult learners.
- Experience in using the Korn Ferry Leadership Architecture competency
- Proficient in instructional design tools and presentation
- Collaborative team player with the ability to thrive within a small P&C team and engage across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to coach, facilitate, and implement programs that advance leadership development, performance management, and global learning outcomes.

Base Salary: $94,000 - $104,000 yearly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge and skills, and location.
