CNC II - Robotic Weld Cell Operator
Function:
We are seeking a skilled Robotic Weld Operator to oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot our production line robotic weld system. The Robotics Operator responsibilities include ensuring smooth operation of the robotic weld system. This position will perform basic preventative maintenance, programming, calibration, along with diagnosing hardware and software issues. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of operating robotic systems, CNC equipment, mechanical systems, and programming, with an eye for detail and problem-solving. Ultimately, the role of the operator of the robotic weld systems is to ensure high-quality, efficient operation of our robotic weld system contributing to overall production performance and success.

Primary Responsibilities:
Verify all equipment safety features are operating properly at beginning of shift; report any features that are not working properly to shift leader.
Observe & Comply with all PPE & other safety requirements.
Review work instructions, prints and routers for each job.
Set up, test, and monitor automated manufacturing and control systems.
Monitor the performance of the robotic systems and adjust to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on robots and automated systems.
Troubleshoot and report electrical and programming problems.
Reprogram robotic systems to accommodate changes in production line or product design.
Document all robotic application operations and relevant technical information.
Train other staff members on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems.
Adhere to safety and quality standards in the operation of robotic systems.
Work closely with engineers and other technical staff to improve and expand the capabilities of robotic systems.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day operation of robotic systems.
Perform routine basic maintenance on robotic systems.
Program and calibrate the robotic weld system for optimal performance.
Diagnose hardware and software issues.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
Document robotic operation and maintenance procedures.
Assist in the training of other personnel on robotic operation and safety.
Keep up to date with advancements and best practices in robotics.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Robotics Operator or similar role.
Knowledge of mechanical systems and programming.
Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of robotic systems.
Understanding of safety regulations in a production environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and precision.
Desired Qualifications:
Technical knowledge and understanding of robotics systems, including setup, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
Proficiency in operating robotic machinery, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Ability to interpret and implement blueprints, schematics, and operational manuals.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and rectify malfunctions with the robotic weld system and prevent downtime.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, discussing technical issues, and providing reports on robotic performance and maintenance.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain high levels of precision and accuracy in the operation of complex robotic systems.
Understanding of industry safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
Knowledge of computer systems and software relevant to robotic operations, such as CAD software and programming languages.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Requires bending, stooping and standing.
Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours pr day. (Overtime may extend time)
