About NYNE NYNE Mechanical a division of NECI is a team of talented problem solvers who can see beyond the immediate effect of a breakdown to the root cause Our entrepreneurial culture encourages and rewards those who can think like our clients and make recommendations to improve their uptime performance Heres What Youll Get Highly competitive Medical Dental and Vision InsuranceFlexible Spending or Health Savings AccountsAccrued Vacation Time10 Paid Holidays12 Paid Weeks Maternity LeavePet InsuranceRetirement Savings 401k and Employee Stock Ownership PlanEmployee Referral BonusProfessional Development ReimbursementCompany Paid STD LTD and Life InsuranceRole Overview We are seeking a self motivated and organized Certified Welder Valve Technician to join our dynamic team This role focuses on weld repairing pressure retaining valve components structural welding of automation brackets and fabricating repair tooling The technician will also assist with the teardown repair and assembly of valves actuators and automation equipment both in the shop and in the field The ideal candidate will have the ability to qualify and perform welding under ASME section IX the candidate will also acquire the skills to pre and post weld heat treatmentstress relief procedures per ASME Section IX and NYNEs weld procedures bringing a positive attitude attention to detail and a safety first mindset to a fast paced environment Key Responsibilities Field Service Operations Assist with the field repair of customer assets under NYNEs Valve and Actuation Repair Program The ability to understand and apply codes and regulatory requirements of ASME Section IX Code with regard to field weld repairs and post weld heat treat requirements Assist with rigging scaffolding job planning and coordination of weld repairs as neededWelding Perform welding tasks as required for the repairs and maintenance of valves and other equipment Ensure welds meet NYNEs weld procedures and compliance with ASME Section IX Maintain all required documentation of qualifications under Section IX Machining Operate machining equipment such as lathes mills and grinders for precision repairs and fabrication of valve components and other equipment Equipment and Tooling Maintain welding equipment including the calibration of welders rod ovens and PWHT ovens Maintain Filler Metal CMTR records and welding logs Maintain field equipment tooling consumables etc as neededValve Repair Conduct evaluations disassembly repairs and testing of valves and actuators Document findings and actions with photos and videos Perform surface preparation painting and shipping as needed for repairs and maintenanceDocumentation Complete all required service and repair documentation in real time including work orders evaluation reports weld reports and inventory management as neededCustomer Interaction The ability to interact with customers and 3rd parties on technical and projects requirements at customer sites and industrial plantsQualifications Associates degree in Mechanical or equivalent experienceExperience in operating under quality and safety program requirementsExperience in welding eg MIG TIG Stick for repairs and metalworking tasks AWS Certification strongly preferred Experience with machining equipment and techniques eg lathes mills grinders for fabricating and repairing parts 6 years of related experienceStrong teamwork and communication skillsAbility to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime for an extended period of timeExperience with warehouse equipment and lifting proceduresStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quicklyProficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to adapt to new softwareAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasksMust be currently authorized to work in the United States Policy on Third Party Unsolicited Resume Submissions Please note that any third party unsolicited resume submissions will immediately become the property of NECI NECI will not pay any fee to a submitting employment agency person or entity unless a signed agreement is established Please Note NECI is an Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race color religion sex gender identity sexual orientation national origin disability protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law
