Colorado Mechanical Systems, LLC. (CMS) is privately owned and operated in Centennial, Colorado. CMS provides commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and plumbing services across the Colorado Front Range, including Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins.
We are hiring a Commercial Lineset & VRF Installation Foreman to lead a field crew on large-scale HVAC projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with refrigerant piping, VRF/VRV systems, and commercial HVAC installations, and is capable of overseeing jobsite coordination, quality control, and crew productivity. This leadership role requires deep technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver projects on time and to spec.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and direct installation teams for lineset and VRF system installs on commercial job sites.
- Coordinate all phases of refrigerant line routing, brazing, pressure testing, and insulation.
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, submittals, and specifications to ensure code-compliant, efficient installs.
- Manage material takeoffs and verify that all piping, fittings, and VRF components are staged and ready for installation.
- Oversee nitrogen purging, vacuum testing, and prep for refrigerant charging and commissioning.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, and project documentation.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications, HVAC mechanical codes, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews, subcontractors, project managers, and site superintendents.
- Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen, fostering team productivity and technical proficiency.
- Address field challenges promptly and coordinate change orders with project management.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience with VRF/VRV systems and lineset piping.
- 2+ years in a supervisory or foreman role on mechanical/HVAC projects.
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration piping practices, brazing, VRF system layout, and controls interface.
- Journeyman HVAC license; Foreman or Supervisor license a plus.
- EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
- Strong ability to read and mark up mechanical blueprints and riser diagrams.
- Proficient in operating lifts, ladders, hand and power tools.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to job sites and work variable shifts or overtime as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Manufacturer training/certification on VRF systems (e.g., Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG, Fujitsu, Samsung).
- OSHA 30-hour certification.
- Experience coordinating crane lifts or rooftop RTU/VRF equipment placement.

- $35.00-$46.00/hr. depending on skill and experience
