HVAC Technician $1,500 sign on bonus

Pay Rate: $30.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on swing and grave shift

Sign On Bonus: $1,500 hire on bonus is for new hires and rehires that are returning after 5 years or more. The bonus will be paid out in equal $333/$334 portions after successfully completing 3 months, 6 months and 9 months of employment with Treasure Island Resort & Casino.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all HVAC systems
• Assist with HVAC installations
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures
• Maintain water treatment program
• Repair kitchen equipment and appliances
• Keep records, logs and the like
• Monitor temperatures and set points

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required Knowledge and Certification:

• 2 years vocational training in HVAC or 5 years on-the-job equivalent experience
• HVAC and Refrigerant certification

Preferred:

• Class C Chief Boiler License

Required Skills:

• Accurate and detail-oriented
• Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

Preferred Skills:

• Proven basic computer skills including knowledge of DX, DDC systems

Required Abilities:

• Ability to work fast and efficiently
• Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipment
• Ability to maintain high confidentiality
• Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
• Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to walk and / or stand for periods of up to 8 hours
• Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
• Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects occasionally
• Must be able to climb a ladder
• Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds regularly
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed throughout the property (indoors and outdoors) and may include excessive noise, such as power tools; dust and fumes from paints, varnishes, stains and the like; flashing lights; frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
• Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters and inclement weather.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
