Title: Maintenance Manager
Summary: As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of equipment, machinery, and facilities within an organization. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency of operations, minimizing downtime, and promoting a safe working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following:
Exercise solid independent judgement
Supervise and provide technical guidance to employees in compliance with accepted practices and standards
Work with engineering for specific processes and products
Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance including plumbing, electrical/lighting, HVAC, and general building care
Oversee all Equipment maintenance of roll forming, welding, various auxiliary equipment, and presses
Procurement of stock repair parts, outsourced equipment repair, and any emergency or otherwise necessary items for maintenance
Help initiate contact, and work with contracted service providers as necessary
Provide time-to-repair estimates to aid in production's direction and effectively source any needed parts or materials in timely manner
Conduct and/or make recommendations for employee training
Schedule preventive maintenance, make amendments to work instruction, and manage approval of work requests in MMS
Work with schematics, wiring diagrams, specification sheets, blueprints, and various other technical documentation
As a Maintenance Manager you will be a working Manager.
Ability to create a scope of work for a project or a repair to go out for competitive bids with contractors.
Maintain good working relationship with established contractors.
Key performance indicators:
Increased uptime
Reduction of unplanned downtime
Integral position to aid in the reduction in overall operational cost
Reduced time to repair/complete work orders
Qualification Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
2-4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
Maintenance Management experience
Experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting
Minimum years' experience- 10 years
Skills:
Basic computer skills
Maintenance management software experience
Basic math skills
strong working knowledge of electrical, fluid, and mechanical systems
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, sit for long periods. Use small tools and lift 50 pounds. Must be able to walk the floor multiple times a day equivalent to 5 miles.
Work Environment: Manufacturing and mill environment
