About the role

The Project Manager provides consulting services to our industrial client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives. The Project Manager will lead a $7M R D lab relocation to client's neighboring campus along with managing large facilities capital improvement projects.

This job is part of the Project Management function responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. Role requires onsite presence 5 days a week at client facility in Benton Harbor, MI.

What you'll do

Lead all areas of project management for commercial real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.

Interface directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project, including the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and risk identification.

Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.

Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.

Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.

Direct the project delivery team by providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.

Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report status and variances.

Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.

Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge of own your job subject area and broad understanding of several job fields within the function.

What you'll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.

Experience with design-build, lab, and infrastructure projects preferred

Knowledge of MS Project and Smartsheet is preferred. Knowledge of Google Workplace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Meet, Calendar) is beneficial

Knowledge of leases, contracts and construction practices and the ability to read architectural drawings.

Strong negotiation skills with ability to identify cost savings and/or value engineering opportunities

Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to create executive level reports to present to senior leadership
