The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing,maintaining, and installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning(HVAC) systems in residential, and commercial settings. The rolerequires a high level of technical expertise, customer service skills, andan understanding of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and clientsatisfication.Key Responsibilities:Diagnosis and Repair: Troubleshoot HVAC systems to identify malfunctions andperform necessary repairs. This includes diagnosing issues withrefrigeration, electrical, and mechanical components.Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance ofHVAC systems to ensure proper functioning and prevent future breakdowns.Installation: Install new HVAC systems and related equipment suchthermostats, following manufacturer specifications and local codes.Customer Communication: Clearly communicate diagnostic results, serviceplans, and repair options to customers. Provide estimates for repairs andinstallations.Safety Compliance:Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when working with HVAC systems,including the proper handling of refrigerants and use of personal protectiveequipment (PPE).Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, includingservice reports, parts used, and system conditions. Ensure properdocumentation of all service calls for billing and warranty purposes.Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends,technologies, and codes by attending training sessions and obtainingrelevant certifications.QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training in HVAC systems ispreferred.Licenses and Certifications: EPA Certification (required), NATEcertification or equivalent (preferred)Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an HVAC technician orrelated role.
