Engineering Project Manager - Gas Infrastructure Our client is seeking an Engineering Project Manager - Gas Infrastructure to lead and support the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects related to energy distribution and storage systems. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective project delivery while working closely with cross-functional teams, including field operations and technical specialists. This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon with travel to construction sites as needed. Engineering Project Manager Responsibilities Oversee design engineering, planning, and coordination for infrastructure projects involving energy facilities, storage, and station systems. Lead cost-benefit analyses and provide recommendations for installation practices to optimize project efficiency and value. Manage engineering review and approval of construction plans to ensure alignment with internal standards and regulatory guidelines. Serve as a primary liaison between office and field teams to support project execution and resolve technical issues in real time. Collaborate with internal experts in telecommunications, controls, and mechanical systems to support integrated project solutions. Contribute to budget development, monitor expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Deliver ongoing engineering support to operations staff, balancing short-term needs with long-term project goals. Engineering Project Manager Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or civil, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Eligibility for Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage diverse construction projects from inception through completion. Familiarity with pipeline safety regulations, construction industry standards, and applicable health and safety protocols. Effective communicator with experience interfacing with contractors, regulators, and internal stakeholders on technical matters. Proficient in interpreting and analyzing engineering and financial documentation, including budgets and construction summaries. Working knowledge of 2D CAD software for reviewing and coordinating design documentation. Strong technical writing and reporting skills. Must be able to travel to construction and field sites as needed. Valid driver's license in Oregon or Washington with a satisfactory driving record.
