Quality Assurance Engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsible for adhering to quality programs,standards, and inspection activities. Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Designs statistical experiments and analyzes resultsto establish specifications regarding Summit or vendor productionprocesses, process capability studies, inspection methods and tests,quality costs; Determines methods and procedures to be used byinspection (i.e., design specifications for gauges); Recommends purchaseof equipment that will make inspection more efficient; Developsprocedures and plans for the disposition of discrepant raw materials orfinished goods; Investigates, analyzes and reports conclusions onchronic quality problem areas, new tools or parts, tests materials orother special assignments; Initiates action to prevent theoccurrence/recurrence of product non-conformity. Initiates, recommends,or provides solutions through designated channels and confirms thatsolutions are effective; Manages tool & gauge functions, which includeprocess qualification, special calibration, incoming inspections, toolinspection, and quality studies; Performs other duties andresponsibilities as assigned. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Competencies: Problem Solving - Gathers and analyzesinformation skillfully; Develops alternative solutions.
