About The Role:
As a CBRE Chief Building Engineer Supervisor, you will supervise the team responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading ongoing maintenance and repair operations for a facility, a campus, or a portfolio of buildings. Plan, implement, coordinate and handle all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and workforce development programs.
What You'll Do:
Lead the building's operational accounts and assists in development of operating and capital budgets.
Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.
Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals! Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.
Assist in operations and maintenance issues, fixing and problem solving as required.
Establish and maintain budgets for facilities maintenance.
Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and develop/maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians. Supervise all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues and must remain current with the latest HVAC technology trends.
Respond to all emergency situations quickly (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns.
Establish and monitor programs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agency and company directives as relates to building operations.
Tracks the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching opportunities. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
Universal CFC certification required. Additional certification in three or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
Requires sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
