3rd Shift Welder Job Description As a 3rd Shift Welder, you will perform a variety of duties to support manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for using and setting up MIG welders according to job requirements and aligning and fitting components together. Your role will involve bolting, clamping, and tack welding parts to secure them in position for welding, as well as repairing products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. This repair work may include cutting, grinding, carbon arc, or oxy-acetylene torch techniques. You will read blueprints or follow verbal instructions for repairs and fabrication according to customer requirements, while adhering to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety. Responsibilities Set up and operate MIG welding equipment as per job specifications. Layout, position, align, and fit components together for welding. Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure them in position for welding. Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using various techniques such as cutting, grinding, carbon arc, or oxy-acetylene torch. Read blueprints or follow verbal instructions for repairs and fabrication. Participate in and support adherence to all internal policies and safety protocols. Essential Skills Proficiency in welding and grinding. Experience in blueprint reading and welding machine setup. Troubleshooting skills for welding equipment. Ability to train others and demonstrate leadership within the shop area. Additional Skills & Qualifications D1.1 Certification preferred. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
