Mechanical Design Engineer, PE Location: Baltimore, MD (Onsite) Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience) Overview: My client, a well-established and innovative engineering firm, is seeking a Licensed Mechanical Design Engineer (PE) to join their Baltimore-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact projects across healthcare, higher education, government, and commercial sectors, while contributing to sustainable and technically advanced building systems. Key Responsibilities: Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects. Develop construction documents, specifications, and technical reports. Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery. Perform energy modeling, load calculations, and system sizing. Mentor junior engineers and support staff. Interface with clients to understand project goals and provide technical leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license. Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design for building systems. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software (e.g., Trane Trace, HAP). Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards, building codes, and energy efficiency practices. LEED project experience is a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills. U.S. work authorization required.
