Estimator in Training

This position offers the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of construction management, with a special focus on concrete, waterproofing, caulking, and related scopes of work.

• Assist in preparing estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Learn to interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings for bidding purposes.
• Support senior project managers in coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Attend site visits and pre-construction meetings to gather project details.
• Assist in tracking project timelines, budgets, and change orders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
• Use industry-specific software like Procore and Bluebeam to manage projects and communicate effectively with the team.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in the preparation of project schedules, bids, and reports.

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 1-2 years of experience in construction, preferably in concrete, waterproofing, or related fields.
• Strong interest in learning estimating and project management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic understanding of project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
