Assistant Estimator

o Generate estimates and proposals.
o Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to gain a thorough understanding of project scope and objectives. Calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs based on project requirements and specifications. Acquire signage and raw material costs from outside vendors.
o Identify and quantify project risks and contingencies and incorporate them into cost estimates.
o Correspond with various customer types during the bid and award process. Meet with project managers when necessary to review the job scope. Responsive to all inquiries/estimates in a timely and appropriate manner
o Work with project managers and design to get projects handed off accurately.

o Knowledge of the commercial construction industry.
o Broad-based knowledge of a business environment.
o Two to Five years of construction or related experience.
o Customer service experience
o Bachelors degree in building science or related field
o Must be able to read and interpret a set of construction plans
o Must have basic computer skills
