Electrical Estimator-Federal Projects

Job Summary

Cannon Companies is hiring a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our Federal Division team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. In this role, you'll support high-impact electrical infrastructure projects for Department of Defense (DoD) clients. If you're detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and experienced in federal or commercial estimating-we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Review project specs and electrical drawings for federal telecom and infrastructure jobs
• Use Accubid and Bluebeam software to generate labor, materials, and equipment estimates
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine bids
• Analyze project risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Travel occasionally for site visits or proposal development
• Ensure compliance with NEC and local code requirements

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical estimating experience (commercial or federal)
• Experience with Accubid required
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or O1 Electrician License preferred
• Familiarity with federal contracting requirements
• Strong understanding of telecom-related electrical systems
• Must pass a background check and drug screen (work on military base)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred Experience

• Government and DoD electrical project estimating
• Design-build project exposure
• NEC compliance knowledge
• Estimating telecommunications infrastructure
• Experience working on Joint Base Lewis-McChord or similar military sites
